Basic Geospatial Information Services (GIS) are free and allow users access to a wealth of GIS data to inform business decisions. Use GIS to visualize your data, develop and host maps and applications, or to support licensing and business services. With additional paid services like Data and Applications and Enterprise Services available, the GIS team has something for everyone, whether you’re a GIS expert who needs help getting a GIS project off the ground or a new user who wants to explore GIS options to improve workflows.

Customer Responsibilities
Customers must complete the GIS Intake Form to get started with a free consult. The purpose of the consult is to establish the scope of the project and to determine if any paid services are needed to meet the agency's needs.
Customers must supply the necessary information and resources for project participation in a manner that allows the project to stay on deadline and within budget.
UAT (User Acceptance Testing)
Long-term storage, licensing, and data retention management is not a part of Basic GIS. We can, however, facilitate this need through Data and Applications or Enterprise Services.
Service Notes
The options we provide are driven by the state's COTS and cloud-first policies, secure-by-design thinking, sustainability, existing technology investments and rational re-use of enterprise agreements products and services.
State strategy for data sharing & integrations = API-led connectivity
Teams may have planned operating calendars for product updates, hot fixes, maintenance and patches.

Basic GIS and Enterprise Services
Priority 1 High and/or Service Outage: Goal is to resolve within four hours.
Priority 2 Medium: Goal is to resolve within 24 hours, but no more than three business days.
Priority 3 Low: Goal is to resolve within five business days, but no more than 10 business days New services vary upon specific engagement dependent on the deliverables required.

Service Costs
Basic geospatial information services are general funded and available at no additional cost to agencies. This level includes:
Unlimited free viewer accounts
Geocoder access
GIS team integration assistance (Salesforce/Onbase),
Business services (proof of concept, discovery session, workflow mapping, measuring metrics and ROI, licensing support, geospatial strategic planning, training, and solution demo)
Hosting of Esri-based geospatial applications that have less than one hour per month of manual steps
Free creation of ESRI COTS (commercial off-the-shelf) application solutions.
Your initial consultation with the GIS team is free, and will determine whether additional paid services are required to meet your needs and specifications. Expanded GIS services may include:
Data, Application, and Accessibility Services
Work with us to scope your project and define the resources needed to achieve success. Depending on your needs we can match you with GIS support that fits your needs. Get the right skill levels to accomplish the task at hand. Personnel will be temporarily part of your team helping you achieve your business needs. These services include: data creation/conversion, data QA/QC, data analysis, etc. Services are offered on demand, meaning an agency can engage OIT-GIS as needed and will be billed by the hour. This service does not include any licensing cost. Depending on your needs we can match you with GIS support that fits your project scope.

Enterprise Services
Provides access to an ArcEnterprise environment. This level of service is designed to offer the complete package of GIS functionality, without taking on the responsibility of servers and administration.
This service level empowers customers to utilize the full spectrum of GIS licensing and expanded capabilities. Enterprise services include everything in Basic GIS, plus:

Portal
Cost: User licensing at direct cost per Master Purchasing Agreement with ESRI, plus 7% markup to ensure infrastructure and operating expenses are covered as the service grows.
This markup assumes server licensing, usage, and administrations rates that will need to be evaluated annually to ensure it is appropriate for actual service growth.
